We are looking for an Electro-Optical Manufacturing Engineer to work at our facility in Budd Lake, New Jersey. This position will be responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for our electro-optical components and assemblies. This role will work closely with design engineers to ensure the manufacturability of new designs and collaborate with production teams to resolve any manufacturing issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and optimize manufacturing processes for electro-optical components and assemblies. Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and standards. Assemble and test opto-mechanical and electro-optic prototypes. Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM), drawings, and procedures. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality. Provide technical support to production and NPI teams as needed. Job duties will be in Cleanroom environment, fully gowned for ~30% of time. Manage production schedule and assure daily shipment on time when needed.Experience / Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degrees in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years’ experience in similar industry; or master’s degree or higher. Experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly with optical systems and components. Experience in working in a cleanroom environment. Proficiency in CAD software, Solid-works and knowledge of manufacturing processes. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Familiarity with lasers, optical systems, electronics, and quality control standards.
