**Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler**
**Job Description**
Perform basic and/or advanced, standardized, and repetitive electro-mechanical assembly including box builds. You will be responsible for wire/cable/harness assembly, some SMT and/or through-hole hand assembly (solder), and inspecting electrical and/or mechanical assemblies, chassis, cables, and harnesses for defects. Additionally, you may perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire, stripping, wiring and fastening connections, and pulling kits. Other job-related duties will be assigned as needed.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform electro-mechanical assembly including box builds.
+ Conduct wire/cable/harness assembly.
+ Perform SMT and/or through-hole hand assembly (solder).
+ Inspect electrical and/or mechanical assemblies, chassis, cables, and harnesses for defects.
+ Prepare for assembly by cutting wire, stripping, wiring, fastening connections, and pulling kits.
+ Complete other job-related duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years of equivalent assembly experience and/or military technical training.
+ Fine point soldering experience.
+ Ability to read and understand work instructions, schematics, bills of material, diagrams, and engineering change orders.
+ Mechanically inclined with the ability to use hand tools and small power tools.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to follow verbal instructions as well as written procedures.
+ Solid judgment and decision-making skills.
+ Good attitude and reliability.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to solder and/or rework fine pitch SMT parts under magnification is a plus.
+ Excellent eye-hand coordination.
+ Excellent manual dexterity.
+ Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
+ Ability to stand for long periods.
+ Well-organized and able to multi-task.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is quiet, and you will have your own workspace or workbench to perform the required tasks. You can work at your own pace for the most part but must be able to meet deadlines. The role involves repetitive operations, and you must have excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. You should be capable of regularly lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs and standing for long periods.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lockport, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
