Job Description
As an Electromechanical Technician, you will accurately and safely assemble electromechanical assemblies according to drawings, written, or verbal instructions. You will also inspect and test subassemblies, manage materials, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. This role requires proficiency in using advanced tooling and the ability to perform field service when needed.
ResponsibilitiesRead and understand bill of material structure; escalate errors or discrepancies to appropriate personnelVisually inspect components for flaws/damage and escalate issues to appropriate personnelAssist with miscellaneous tasks such as packaging finished goods, material handling (kitting), and warehouse cleanup and organizationMaintain company's values and commitment to quality and safetyMaintain a clean and safe work environment, including participation in the 5S programLift and carry up to 50 poundsCommunicate ideas and facts in a professional manner to all stakeholdersPerform repetitive tasks and sit or stand for long periodsPossess manual dexterity to assemble parts quickly and accuratelyUpload component firmware according to written instructionsAdhere to the company's redline process to document any as-built changesMaintain accurate accounting of project materials and report discrepanciesRework and/or repair equipment and products as instructedDevelop work instructions, including writing simple work instructions, cutsheets, or assembly notesSafely use advanced tooling (power tools, CableEye, etc.)Assist in the development of tools/jigs to facilitate assembly processesOperate and maintain test fixtures, devices, and test cablesPerform field service as neededNavigate 3D CAD/e-drawings as an aid to assemblyPerform full system cold checks using schematicsObtain company-sponsored high-voltage electrical safety trainingPossess advanced proficiency in the layout, routing, and termination of wires for UL 508A electrical panelsBuild cables/wire harnesses that conform to IPC 620 standardsAssemble 24V safety circuits (e-stops, light curtains, status lights, sensors)Identify continuous improvement opportunities and take a leadership role in these activitiesPerform advanced troubleshooting for electromechanical assembliesAssume a leadership role on first article projects as assignedAct as a leader for the entire production team, upholding the company's values, ethics, and commitments to quality and safetyOccasionally work with the engineering department on proof-of-concept projectsEssential SkillsMechanical assemblyCable harness assemblyIPC 620 certificationWire harness assemblyTroubleshooting electrical issuesProficiency with hand and power toolsReading schematics/blueprintsSolderingTesting circuitsBuilding mechanical subassemblies using a variety of fastening methodsRouting cables and securing wiring throughout systemsAttaching labels or name plates to assemblies, components, or cablesMeasuring dimensions to verify proper clearance of partsUsing assembly tooling (hex wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, wire strippers, torque tools, etc.)Verifying mechanical functionalityTesting for electrical continuity using a voltmeterAdditional Skills & Qualifications2+ years of assembly or building experienceAbility to use hand and power toolsProficiency in reading blueprints/schematicsAbility to lift 40 pounds regularlyWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a large warehouse/production/manufacturing facility. Individual work stations are currently under construction, but you will use hand and power tools to assemble mechanical components.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TUALATIN, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $35.00/hr.
