Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and evaluating mechanical equipment failures. You will perform necessary corrective actions on a wide variety of production and packaging equipment. Additionally, you will diagnose and solve complex electrical/electronic failures using basic troubleshooting techniques, a digital multimeter, and wiring diagrams/schematics. Your role will also involve oiling, greasing, and cleaning equipment components, modifying and repairing roofing, flooring, piping, and other structures.
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and evaluate mechanical equipment failures and perform necessary corrective actions on production and packaging equipment.Diagnose and solve complex electrical/electronic failures using basic troubleshooting techniques, a digital multimeter, and wiring diagrams/schematics.Oil, grease, and clean equipment components such as crankcases, motors, gearboxes, chains, bearings, sprockets, and other mechanical parts.Modify, repair, and maintain roofing, flooring, piping, and other structures.Accurately complete all required and appropriate paperwork.Lead small projects utilizing outside contractors.Perform preventative maintenance tasks and document essential information in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).Operate various hand and power tools, pumps, motors, and meters.Participate in and lead small group teams in continuous improvement initiatives.Complete general housekeeping and sanitation in the shop area and work areas.Essential Skills4+ years of experience as a skilled electro-mechanical maintenance technician.Strong understanding of industrial electrical troubleshooting - 480v.Proficient in PLC troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and schematic reading.Experience with electrical control systems, relay logic, and process control circuits.Ability to read and understand Allen-Bradley PLCs and Micro Logix.Additional Skills & QualificationsFood & Beverage industry experience is a plus.Various mechanical skills such as welding, fabrication, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.Working knowledge of electronics, motor control systems, electrical mechanical devices, AC/DC motors, servo motors, variable frequency drives, transformers, sensors, wiring diagrams, and schematics.Understanding of electrical codes for proper sizing of wiring, fuses, and breakers.Proficient in the use of digital multi-meters and electrical drawings to troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a flour manufacturing plant that supports food industries across the country. The shift is from 9am to 7pm, Monday through Friday. Proper PPE such as hairnets, glasses, earplugs, and hard hats must be worn.

This is a position based out of Tolleson, Arizona.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00
