Job Title: Electromechanical Technician
Job Description

As an Electromechanical Technician, you will report to the Plant Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor, performing maintenance tasks to ensure the high quality, efficient, and timely shipment of products. Safety, quality, productivity, and a strong work ethic are integral to our culture.

ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and follow plant safety rules including LOTO and safe machine operation.Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, specifications, and technical data.Work on motors, contractors, and relays with a multimeter to verify component functionality.Operate advanced shop equipment such as bandsaws, mills, and lathes.Maintain and repair Chillers, Process pumps, compressors, ink pumps, and Glue pumps.Analyze and resolve mechanical and electrical issues related to the equipment.Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls/PLCs.Perform preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration on manufacturing process equipment.Diagnose root cause of equipment problems and determine best solutions.Document parts used and repairs completed in the CMMS.Assist in maintaining an organized stock of spare parts.Participate in Performance System activities including 5Star, Pillar Teams, Audits, and Near Misses.Ensure regular, consistent attendance and punctuality.Use Personal Protective Equipment as required.Ensure proper and safe operational conditions of all production and related equipment.Essential SkillsTroubleshooting mechanical and electrical issuesMaintenance technician skillsElectro-mechanical knowledgeReading and interpreting blueprintsUnderstanding of hydraulics and pneumaticsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in an industrial environment or military experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipmentIndustry experience with blown films, sheet extruders, printing, lamination, slitting, and ancillary equipment related to flexible packagingExperience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial motor controlsForklift operation skillsComfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasksWillingness to work off-shift positions with rotating shifts, including overtime and weekendsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

Our 500,000 sqft facility prioritizes safety and cleanliness. The environment is extremely clean and well-organized, adhering to GMP standards. You will be required to wear safety shoes, hair net, ear plugs, and safety glasses. Departments include Print, Lamination, Slitting, Warehouse, and Maintenance. We have a strong tenured workforce and have recently invested in new machinery, with additional capital expenditures planned. Updated break rooms with new self-serve vending processes are also available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.20 - $35.20
