Install, maintain, repair, and rebuild all types of electronic equipment and electrical machinery throughout plant.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Receive job assignments from Foreman orInspect, repair, and maintain electronic and electrical parts on machinery and equipment in plant. Including die sinking machines, numerical control machines, magnaflux units, radio control cranes, welders, presses, laboratory and research equipment, P.A. systems, etc.Study electrical and electronic drawings, manuals, and parts lists, analyze defective operation and make repairs including repair or replacement ofRewire or make alterations to electronic or electrical circuits to fit specific needs for machine or equipment operation.Operate various test instruments such as volt-ohm meters, signal generators, oscilloscope, etc., used in checking electronic and electrical equipment.Perform electronic and electrical work for installation of any kind of machinery or equipment, including press controls and data processing equipment.Maintain records of service and types of repairs made on various pieces of electronic and electrical machinery and equipment.Fabricate component and circuit network to update electronic and electrical components where parts are no longer available.Carry out preventive maintenance inspections on equipment as required, making minor repairs on spot, and listing work that should be performed to prevent breakdowns or improper operation.Rebuild electronic and electrical equipment such as electronic controller boards, radios, contactors, relays, and tape controls.Design and make parts for specificPerform required electrical and electronic work involved in the installation of new buildings and facilities or in the rebuilding, changing, and maintaining of existingHelp instruct Electrician and Helpers as requiredKNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING:
