Job Overview:

As an Estimator, you will be analyzing repairs and preparing reports to determine the best course of action. This also includes driving to properties locally to provide estimations for new gate services as well as all administrative functions.

 

Compensation: $26 per hour

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, certifications, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

 

 Your Responsibilities:

Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product Compiling and recording costs Reviewing Preventative Maintenance reports to determine and produce new repair recommendations and proposals Follow up on previously quoted repairs and update the system on approved, pending, and denied proposals Preparing material and cost estimates for the product or service Creating labor estimates for projects Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors Managing bids from vendors and contractors Using data to prepare detailed analysis and reporting Presenting prepared estimates to management and other associates within the company

Skills and Qualifications:

Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English as this position requires interfacing verbally with the public, tenants, their peers, and supervisors. Ability to prepare written reports and complete log sheets. Excellent general math skills. Ability to determine next-level involvement for problem resolution. Must demonstrate good judgment. Ability to think and work independently as well as part of a team. Must be able to work well under pressure and deadlines, as well as work independently and prioritize time effectively.  Possession of a valid Nevada State Driver’s License 

Education and Experience:

High school diploma Prior experience as an estimator

Physical Requirements:  

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Work is performed in a variety of environmental conditions, with exposure to outdoor temperatures, weather variations, traffic and equipment noise, equipment vibrations, vehicle and/or chemical fumes, chemicals such as cleaning solvents and grease, machinery and their moving parts, and dust. Work duties may require the ability to stand or walk on hard surfaces for frequent and prolonged periods of time. Work duties may require the ability to work outdoors for an entire shift.  Occasional overtime may be required. Holidays and/or weekends may be required based on business needs. Consistent and regular attendance is required. Some exposure to dust and noise. Some heavy lifting, standing, climbing. Work duties may include hauling the trash to the dumpsters. Appearance must be professional and in accordance with guidelines.

Work Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

 

Work Hours: 8AM-4:30PM
