Responsibilities

Under limited supervision the Electronic Imaging Technician performs a variety of administrative duties requiring a degree of discretion judgment and initiative. Assist Radiologists by managing the radiology imaging workflow for emergent studies. This position answers the phone retrieves and sends radiology images locates and acquires prior electronic exams faxes reports or other paperwork as needed and follows up on any unread studies. The ultimate responsibility of this position is to assist the Radiologists with providing good patient care by managing the worklist to ensure Radiologist are able to deliver timely reports to the referring facilities. Responsible for daily operation and completing tasks guided by the Radiology Department.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum two (2) years of experience in administrative capacity A minimum two (2) years of experience working in a radiology departmentHigh school education or equivalent.Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Typically communicates with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Advanced computer skills required. Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Five (5) years or more of experience working as a Radiology clerk preferredAssociate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
