Pay

$31.96 - $39.24 / hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Plus $1.00 / hr shift premium for 2nd shift hours

Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking an Electronic Maintenance Technician to join our plant engineering team. An electronics technician installs and maintains all electronic/electrical direct and indirect production equipment and perform the following work duties and responsibilities which are specific to this plant.

Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on all electrical/electronic equipment.Performs general and preventive maintenance in specific areas of responsibility.Adheres to all documentation pertaining to positionWorks in assigned areas of the local facilities as neededUses personal protective equipment (PPE) as appropriateWorks well with all departments and management, always cooperating with supervision and associatesMaintains good housekeeping and sanitation habits that demonstrate a commitment to good manufacturing practices (GMPs)Carries tools as needed or requiredEnsures all work sites are properly maintained to optimize safety and cleanliness while working and after completing a job or projectAlerts management if product contamination has occurred or further sanitation is requiredInforms management, associates, and Production personnel of downtime, either direct or potential, that might affect them or their processCompletes all job related documentation accurately and neatlyDemonstrates workplace behavior that is consistent with company policies and valuesCommunicates job information to accomplish work tasksMaintains good attendance as defined by company and/or department policyPractices good personal hygiene and maintains a clean work areaExercises personal safety on the job and demonstrates a commitment to the safety of others and our products

Required Qualifications

Mechanical/electrical backgroundDemonstrated computer knowledge and experience in the following programs; CMMS (including MAXIMO), Microsoft Office, and maintenance specific applications (iWork, work instructions, etc.)Team player with good communication skillsGood administrative and mathematical skillsGood planning, organizational and multi-tasking skillsOrientation and commitment to customer serviceStrong attention to detail and accuracyWillingness to obtain powered industrial equipment licenseDemonstrate good verbal and written communication skillsBe self-directed, self-motivated, industrious, creative, and have the desire to help others excelWorking knowledge of electricity, electrical circuits, and related componentsKnowledge of electrical test equipment and its functionsAbility to read electrical prints, ladder diagrams, and electronic schematicsFunctional knowledge/demonstrable PC skills  Possess above average mechanical, electrical and electronic aptitudeAble to work unscheduled times as neededAble to work extended shifts as neededProven ability to work well with othersPossess a good attendance and safety recordAbility and willingness to work on a team or independently as neededComply with conditions established by Corporate Risk Management to operate Company vehiclesWillingness to continual learning with Company provided training, outside seminars, technical courses, etc. (travel may be required)

Preferred Qualifications

One year of industrial mechanical maintenance experience    Minimum of one year experience in industrial electrical and/or electronics applicationsKnowledge of the National Electric Code and its applicationsAbility to install conduit and calculate circuit protectionWorking knowledge of PLC technologiesUnderstanding of networking fundamentalsFamiliar with I/O server protocol concepts and developmentKnowledgeable of roboticsDemonstrate proficiency of maintenance software programTwo year Associates degree in electrical/electronics or equivalent (such as: vocational technical certification, completion of an Electronics Training Program sponsored by McKee Foods Corporation, an approved apprenticeship program, or a professional engineering/technical degree from an accredited college program)Understanding of HMI/Wonderware software development    Demonstrable troubleshooting of control systems and equipmentWorking knowledge of motion control and servo technologies
