Summary This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONIC MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC (SSC), Position Description Number D1201000 and is part of the NJ CSMS 1, National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to perform calibration, diagnostics repair, and certification of electronic, mechanical, and radiation Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Responsibilities As an ELECTRONIC MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC (SSC), WG-2602-11, you will: Complete necessary Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS), calibrate, radiation reports and other records and forms on work completed Ensure a maximum number of weapons systems are operationally ready. Test equipment for sensitivity and correct operation. Use equipment schematics to analyze circuits by preparing a block diagram showing major components such as amplifiers, filters, oscillators, and indicators. Operate equipment to complete range checking for proper operation of positioning controls. Performs functional electronic, physical, and radioactive testing involving interpretation and analysis of measurement data, by cyclic inspection requirements. Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have general experience in the following: Experience or training that demonstrates a working knowledge of electronic principles involved in the generation and measurement of such elements as voltage, current, impedance, capacitance, frequency, and inductance. Experience in the use of various precision measurement instruments and standards. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have specialized experience in the following: Utilizing electronic circuits to measure electronic or electrical quantities to determine the performance characteristics and accuracy of other instruments and equipment. Interpreting and applying a variety of technical electronic information such as schematic symbols, mathematical expressions and formulas, calibration procedures, and other reference materials. Applying established techniques and methods of repair, testing, alignment, and calibration of equipment, which serves as test equipment or precision measurement standards Tracing signals and voltage paths, and skilled in the analysis of waveform characteristics such as timing, duration, frequency, and phasing. Training with basic application of operating principles such as the production and utilization of oscillations over a broad range of frequencies Education There are no education requirements for this vacancy announcement.
