Electronic Security Systems Installation Project Manager

The Electronic Security Systems Installation Project Manager to support RiverTech contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Office of Security and Integrity (OSI). The Electronics Security Systems Installation Project Manager reports to the RiverTech Program Manager and On-Site Supervisor and acts as the subject matter expert concerning electronic security systems installations for USCIS and to ensure that these installations meet the technical requirements and schedule of USCIS.

Responsibilities

Review the requirements, project design drawings, contractor proposals, and contractor submittals ensuring that the documents meet the technical, design and engineering requirements.

Solid understanding in security system engineering to include cable shielding, drain wire use, and bonding/grounding issues that affect the critical operations of electronic security systems.

Support the Senior Project Manager on FAC support services for USCIS -related projects and initiatives.

Ability to create and compile external service provider work order and packages.

Provide expertise for security systems architecture and capabilities in support of Enterprise Physical Access Control Systems (ePACS) program.

Support the creation of training material associated with security systems and deliver training sessions to security professionals within USCIS.

Lead/attend a variety of meetings related to ePACS and ESS installations.

Assist in developing and delivering reports associated with security systems on the technical challenges and changes to USCIS leadership.

Schedule and conduct site visits, surveys, inspections, and security acceptances during construction/installation identifying any discrepancies during the installation such as incorrect sizing of power, poor cabling practices, incorrect wiring, incorrect software/hardware configurations, incorrect materials, and other discrepancies outside of industry standards and USCIS technical requirements.

Document changes and deficiencies to projects for approval and action by project managers assigned to the projects prior to corrections.

Assist and support the review and edits for USCIS technical requirements as needed to ensure relevance to industry standards, evolving technologies, software and hardware products associated with security systems.

Support Project Change Control process to ensure specific product or service changes are introduced in a controlled and coordinated manner.

Provide cost estimates to include labor and bill of material needed.

Coordinate technical requirements (USCIS) with Physical Security Section (PSS) and Office of Information Technology (OIT) ensuring consistency with IT requirements and standards.

Qualifications

Minimum High School Diploma/GED.

Minimum three (3) years of work experience relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Experience working with cross-functional teams to perform and complete task.

Proficient in electronics security systems and reading commercial building drawings.

Previous experience installing cable, rack and stack switches, servers, panels and workstations is a plus.

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, as well as SharePoint or other collaboration software.

Demonstrated ability to produce detailed and independent written correspondence in order to communicate operational requirements.

Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Willing to travel up to 50% within the United States. Travel schedule most often has been every other month (2-3 days).

Ability to think logically and work effectively within group settings or independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to receive general guidance and instructions from a supervisor or via established standard operating procedures, and act upon them with minimal supervision.

US Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance eligibility and favorable pre-employment USCIS Entry on Duty (EOD) and Suitability Determinations.

This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Camp Springs, MD.
