Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Assembly Contractor responsible for hooking up and wiring harnesses, performing basic control panel work and installation, and troubleshooting breaker boxes. The Assembler will manufacture and assemble diesel and natural gas-powered generator solutions, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role involves working under the direction of the Assembly Supervisor, validating materials, following work instructions, and adhering to safety and quality regulations.
ResponsibilitiesManufacture electro-mechanical power generators following engineering and electrical drawings, schematics, manufacturing assembly instructions, and standard operating procedures.Build, assemble, maintain, program, and adjust electrical control panels, breaker panels, and transformers.Assemble and inspect electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings.Perform mechanical assembly and installation of electronic devices, including wire harnesses, circuit boards, power supplies, product labels, hardware, and various components.Use standard and specialized hand tools, power and air-impact tools, and overhead cranes to assemble components to specifications.Read and interpret schematics, blueprint drawings, and diagrams to build assigned products.Verify dimensions, tolerances, and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.Run, route, and bundle terminals/wires, crimp and connect pins to connectors, and inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits.Solder electrical components and position and fasten units to assemblies and subassemblies.Repair, install, and inspect basic mechanical, electrical, and automotive parts, and periodically adjust or repair electrical equipment.Troubleshoot and analyze electrical and mechanical equipment, including Atlas PLCs.Grease or lubricate parts as necessary.Essential SkillsExperience with hand tools, mechanical assembly, power tools, and electrical wiring.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.Knowledge of assembling and troubleshooting generators and wiring harnesses.Mechanical aptitude and experience with electro-mechanical systems.Experience with soldering and using specialized tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, especially with engines.Ability to read torque charts, bills of materials, and understand hardware and sizes.Experience in general labor, industrial fabrication, and electronic assembly.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Our state-of-the-art 515,000 sq ft North American headquarters and manufacturing center is located in Olathe, Kansas. As part of a vertically integrated power generation manufacturer, our facility specializes in engineering and manufacturing diesel and spark-ignited standby and mobile generator sets. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OLATHE, Kansas.
Mon-Fri 6:30am-2:30pm with possible OT through 4:30pm and weekends
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
