**DESCRIPTION**
We are looking for a talented **Electronic Systems Product Engineer** to join our team specializing in **Engineering** for **Our Platform Engineering Department** in **Darlington, UK**
**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:**
+ Problem Resolution: You will investigate electronic application and systems problems, understand their causes, recommend appropriate actions, and document results with guidance from more experienced team members.
+ Process Improvement: You will apply and support the improvement of electronic application and systems development processes and tools, including system specification, modeling and simulation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
+ Customer and Stakeholder Collaboration: You will obtain input from customers, technical and product teams, manufacturing engineers, supplier partners, and other stakeholders to deliver information and recommendations that lead to quality product decisions.
+ Decision Making: You will make decisions in the areas of electronic and electrical system design, requirements, calibration, and testing that impact the quality and performance of individual calibrated features and/or components.
+ Independent Execution: You will provide independent execution of established work processes and systems while still developing your technology or product knowledge.
+ Technical Complexity: You will own problem resolution for moderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems, or services, with technical complexity and ambiguity increasing as you gain experience in the role.
+ Team Contribution: You will contribute effectively toward team goals, exhibit influence within a work group, and continue to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.
+ Coordination and Direction: While not directly managing people, you may coordinate and direct the work of technicians and/or temporary student employees.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**To be successful in this role you will need the following:**
+ Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, as well as MATLAB and Simulink skills to manage and analyze data effectively.
+ Leadership and Management: The ability to lead the management of calibrations, features, diagnostics, and customers to support a wide range of products.
+ Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to analyze critical data and provide reports on trends and variances.
+ Collaboration: The ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders across the global Cummins network and support various projects related to new products, offering customer-centric solutions.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education/ Experience:**
+ College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required. Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
+ Entry level/Early career professional. Preferred candidates would have relevant experience working in either a temporary student employment environment (intern, co-op, or other extracurricular team activities) or as an early career professional in a relevant technical discipline area. Knowledge of MS Office tools is also preferred
+ This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
