Electronic Technician D, Aerial Targets
Amentum is seeking an **Electronic Technician D** for a position on **Kauai, HI** . Supporting the **Aerial Targets** Department. Under close supervision, individual will perform target systems electrical and jet engine run tests, troubleshoots, repair and calibrate all systems and associated equipment and performs other related tasks. **Responsibilities** Specific assignments and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas: + Performs periodic inspections and maintenance tasks in accordance with published procedures. Documents results of all maintenance actions electronically through Navy’s record keeping system. + Troubleshoots and repairs systems/equipment by reading and interpreting electronic/mechanical schematics by using simple and complex test equipment. + Assists in preparing and developing new local procedures, procedural changes, and modification proposals. + Must be able to be certified to handle, install and check-out aerial target related ordnance. + Configure/install augmentation equipment, checks-out, calibrate, modify, and perform acceptance tests on target drones and associated ground support equipment. + Support all phases of target operation to include target assembly, operational checks, launch and decontamination of targets. + Performs other duties as required. **Additional Responsibilities** + Shop, Target Launch Facilities, outside work environment at various locations throughout PMRF and deployment at sea. + Extended operational hours and occasional weekend/holiday activity during sustained periods of surge mission support. + Lifting. Pushing, and pulling of 25-50 lbs. + Work positions requirements: walking, standing, crawling, kneeling or cramped, work requiring repeated stooping, or frequent climbing, and sitting. + Working environment activities: Customer contact, extended workday, field assignment, and inclement weather. **Minimum Qualifications** + High School diploma or equivalent plus one of the below: + An associate degree in related field OR + Equivalent training, (e.g., 2-year technical school) + Two-year experience in a related field of assignment. + Possess thorough knowledge of electronics theory and be proficient in reading and interpreting complicated schematic diagrams for troubleshooting and repair to the component level. + Possess or be able to obtain ordnance certification. + Must possess or be able to demonstrate the following PC skills: MS: Word and Outlook **Security Clearance** Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a US Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment. **NON-EXEMPT, CBA and SCA Positions** Compensation & Benefits HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $38.08 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
