Position Overview JIRACOR is seeking a highly skilled Electronic Technician Maintenance II with the eligibility to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance to support training and simulation systems at Camp Bowie, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance on training devices and related equipment, ensuring their operational readiness, reliability, and optimal performance. Responsibilities & Duties Perform scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS), Synthetic Training Environment (STE) Devices, and Government Furnished Property (GFP) in accordance with technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when no checklist is available. Inform the government of maintenance timelines for both staffed and unstaffed sites, including notifying when personnel need to travel for maintenance or to support increased demand. Ensure maintenance tasks do not interfere with training, exercises, or testing schedules. Accurately record all maintenance activities in real-time using InSITE. Monitor and track warranty terms for maintained items by part number, serial number, and location. Set up and test TADSS and STE Devices to confirm they function correctly, ensuring interoperability and operational verification. Manage hardware baselines, reverting to previous versions if updates fail. Analyze maintenance trends, track component usage, manage obsolescence, and implement risk management strategies to improve system reliability. Conduct failure analysis to identify the root cause of system issues. Install modifications and upgrade kits following manufacturer instructions. May serve as a preventive maintenance rover for unstaffed sites. Install and maintain software, manage patches, and ensure security compliance for installed applications and operating systems. Additional Responsibilities: Perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering diagrams for troubleshooting and repairs. Apply advanced technical knowledge to resolve electrical, mechanical, and computer-related issues. Perform inventory of spare/repair parts as required by contractual guidelines. Supervise, provide direction, and check lower-level technicians’ work as needed. Ensure all reports and documentation are completed in a timely and accurate manner. May be required to travel to other installations as necessary. Required Education and Experience: (2 BA/BS + 0-1 MA/MS) or (4 AA) or (6+ No Degree) Intermediate knowledge of computer and networking systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering diagrams. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and on-post driving privileges.
