Electronic Technician Trainee Job Number: 355647 Category: Assembly Description: Job Title: Electronic Technician Trainee Location: Livonia, MI Zip Code: 48150 Start Date: ASAP Job Type: Contract to Hire Pay Rate: $26.92 - $29.08/hr DoE Schedule: 5:00am - 1:00pm Keywords: #ElectronicTech #AssemblyJobs JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Build and Assemble electrical content for customer products and prototypes and test systems according to engineering instructions, technical manuals and knowledge of electronics, using hand and power tools. * Research and order parts and maintain inventory for test fixtures and repairs * Test electronics units such as test fixtures, prototypes and customer products using standard test equipment and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment * Programming test fixture components * Other shop duties as required * Fastens and installs piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies, using hand tools, rivet guns, and welding equipment * Inspects, operates, and tests completed products to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer specifications, if applicable according to division. * Lays out and drills, reams, taps, and cuts parts for assembly * Positions and aligns components for assembly, manually or using hoists * Reads and interprets assembly blueprints and specifications manuals, and plans assembly or building operations * Removes rough spots, and smooths surfaces to fit, trim, or clean parts, using hand tools and power tools * Reworks, repairs, and replaces damaged parts or assemblies * Sets and verifies parts clearances * Verifies conformance of parts to stock lists and blueprints, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers * Assembles systems of gears by aligning and meshing gears in gearboxes * Maintains and lubricates parts and components * Sets up and operates metalworking machines, such as milling and grinding machines, to shape or fabricate parts REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma * 1 years of Assembly / Electronic experience is required * ​​Need to be certified J-STD and IPC/WHMA-A-620 * Trained in J-STD Soldering * Trained in IPC/WHMA-A-620 training for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies * Experience with Electrostatic Discharge Control (ESD) protocol​ * Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance * Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models * The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations) * The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions * The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects * The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged * The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing * The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects * The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) * The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
