Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Electronics Controller Engineer will include: The Electrified Systems Engineering (ESE) organization is responsible for delivering the best fuel economy and refined Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid and Battery Electric vehicles in every segment in which we contend. We strive to consistently provide the best customer vehicle value and profitability while delivering performance, durability, and fuel economy/range objectives. An eDrive Controller Electronics Engineer would be responsible for design, analysis, testing and verification of eDrive inverter system controller and gate drive functionality and reliability. The responsibilities would also include collaboration with cross-functional teams for function and performance requirements capturing, FMA document development. The work also includes supporting eDrive system function verification, troubleshooting, and conducting root cause analysis, and benchmarking. Conduct multi-functional activities in development of the requirements of the controller for electric drive system Conduct Inverter controller and gate drive board circuit design/schematics/layout, EMI reduction, fault tolerance/protection/diagnostic, and ensure on time delivery Develop circuit function verification method, conduct function verification test and troubleshooting Conduct Root Cause Analysis for field issues Support low level software development for the controller’s microprocessor. Support Hardware-in-the-Loop Test, High Voltage Lab test, Motor Dyno Test, Vehicle Test, EMC test, etc. Support Inverter Benchmark activities. Conduct deep dive analysis of controller and gate drive circuits. Share and present work to multi-functional teams and leadership Ensure overall quality of product throughout the entire design process

Job Requirements
As a Electronics Controller Engineer you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Familiar with analog and digital circuit design, microprocessor-based control circuit Knowledge of Power Devices (e.g. MOSFET, Transistor, IGBT, SiC, etc.), Logic IC, High side driver/Low side driver, and SMD passive components Experience of Power electronics circuit design, such as SMPS design, Gate Drive Circuit design 2+ years of hands-on experience of using electrical test and rework equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, voltage/current probes, function generator and soldering equipment) (coursework/internship/co-op experience allowed) Knowledge/experience of worst-case circuit analysis. Knowledge/experience of Power Inverters and motor control Knowledge of DFMEA/DFSS and accelerated life test Knowledge of G8D for Root Cause Analysis Knowledge/experience with automotive electronics and EMC fundamentals Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, self-motivated, eager to take ownership and deliver results with minimal direction. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 2+ years of experience in Electrical and/or electronics design. (coursework/co-op/internship experience during PhD studies allowed) 2+ years of experience of hands-on or EDA/simulation tools (e.g. Cadence, Matlab, Spice, Saber, etc.) Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience
