Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

Job Summary:

If you are a professional looking for an opportunity to work with the global Emerson Systems and Software organization, this is a stimulating opportunity for you!  The Electronics Hardware Development Engineer will be responsible for product development and testing of electronic circuits and assemblies for electrical heat trace programmable controllers. This position will effectively engage in the new product development phases, which includes requirements, design, verification, release and documentation, working as a motivator to our development efforts.      

 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Designing printed circuit board schematics, routing, and layouts Developing  simple-to-complex high-speed digital PCBs with low-to-high AC current or power densities     Working on circuit conceptualization and simulations, based on product requirement Producing product documentation, drawings and specifications Performing hardware assembly; functional tests including board-level, unit verification, or system validation; product safety, electromagnetic compatibility, environmental, and reliability tests Perform failure analysis and fixing of electronic circuits and assemblies Collaborate with peers in design reviews, engineering changes, and release   Who You Are:

You provide timely and helpful information to others across the organization.     For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or any related program Knowledge of electrical circuit concepts, simulations, schematic drawings, board layouts, and assemblies Hardware design experience using microcontrollers and digital signal control components Experience in communication protocols (Modbus, UART, HART, TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet/IP) Experience in printed circuit board design (Cadence Allegro, Cadence Orcad, BluePrint-PCB, Autodesk Eagle), fabrication (CAM350), and 2D/3D drawing (Autodesk AutoCAD.   Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Experience in HMI peripherals or GUI panel system design is an advantage Experience in analog and digital sensing and  alarm, trip, or fault status indication; temperature and moisture sensors, line/load voltage and current sensing, ground fault circuit detection; communication modules; and electromechanical connectors     Our Offer To You:
