Installs, tests, repairs, trouble shoots and performs complete maintenance and repair of all types of plant electrical and electronic equipment, controls, devices and systems assigned to Plant Maintenance. Determines advisability or need for repair, rework or replacement of any electrical or electronic parts, units or systems and determines best, quickest and safest method of restoring interrupted operations. Performs work necessary to accomplish satisfactory results.
Is responsible for complete operational checkout of all existing, modified or new (after turned over to MAINTENANCE) electrical or electronics systems. Diagnoses malfunctioning and performs rework, repair, adjustment, replacement of parts indicated as such as ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, oscillators, brush recorder, frequency and power measuring equipment, and other special electronic test equipment. Performs such work operations as bench work, repair or replacement of components such as, but not limited to, transistors, tubes, relays, resistors, capacitators, coils, condensers, transformers and other items used in electrical or calibrates equipment as assigned and makes adjustments for proper operations. May modify electrical or electronic equipment by resistors, capacitators and other items used in electrical or electronic systems.
Performs necessary electrical work connected with repair or construction projects at any of the company’s facilities involving electrical systems, light, power and communications systems. May work on high-tension lines and the most complicated circuits and systems.
Required to use and work from schematics and complicated wiring diagrams where layout and methods of repair are not fully established or the complexity of the job is such as to require considerable analysis and ingenuity.

EXPERIENCE OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must show completion of 12 months schooling in electronics theory and/ or electronics engineering courses, plus three years experience in maintenance and repair of electronics equipment and systems in a maintenance organization in an industrial plant.
