Job Summary: Summary of major reason this job exists.
Provide technical process support in a cross-functional, collaborative, team environment for an electronics production
operation which includes SMT and through-hole electronics assembly, conformal coating and encapsulation, final assembly,
and test. Focus will be on production assembly operations downstream of the SMT PCB population process. This includes
new product introduction and current product support. Typical responsibilities are listed below. Work closely with
manufacturing engineering, test engineering, production and quality department personnel to accomplish timely product
launches, conformance to specifications and quality improvements.
Primary Responsibilities: Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all-inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned.
· Define process for new product and process improvement for current product in accordance with IPC industry
standards
· Investigate and solve quality problems
· Respond to engineering questions and review/approve files from PCB suppliers
· Create and revise documentation including process flow, PFMEA, control plans, detailed operator work
instructions, etc.
· Train production trainers on new products and processes
· Support manufacturing engineering department in accomplishment of design validation builds, process validation
builds and start of production
· Assist in production equipment selection and fixture design
