**Electronics Repair Technician** **Job Description** The ideal candidate will be proficient in DC-AC, solid state theory, audio signals, video signals, and applications. You will need the ability to solder to the component level, read and operate various measuring equipment related to electronics, and accurately annotate and maintain repair documentation. **Responsibilities** + Test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic-mechanical equipment in a fast-paced customer service environment. + Read and understand complex assembly drawings, schematics, and test procedures. + Use calipers and other measuring devices to verify part dimensions. + Drill/tap and remove screws. + Build and troubleshoot wiring harnesses. + Maintain and repair motors and their internal components. + Utilize basic hand and power tools. + Operate various measuring equipment (oscilloscope, digital multi-meters, signal analyzers, etc.). + Perform assigned tasks safely, effectively, and efficiently. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in DC-AC, solid state theory, audio signals, video signals, and applications. + Ability to solder to the component level. + Ability to read and operate various measuring equipment related to electronics. + Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. + Basic computer skills. + Knowledge of motor and its internal components. + Experience with building and troubleshooting wiring harnesses. + Understanding of basic clutch and bearing systems. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Degree in electronics or a related field preferred. + Military experience, particularly in avionics, is a great fit. + 2 years of demonstrable knowledge as a mechanical and electrical technician. **Work Environment** You will be working in a team of 15-20 in the repair/build area, within a company of 120 total employees. The standard shift is from 7am to 3:30pm, and most of the work is completed in a sitting position at the bench. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based near Waukesha, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
