Job Summary:
The purpose of the Electronics Technician is to be responsible for working in all areas of the facility. This person is knowledgeable in all processes and is familiar with all machinery to help maintain efficiencies and a safe work environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical systems and wiring of circuits for feeder panels, lighting circuits and control voltage circuits Program drives and loop controllers Diagnose problems associated with PLC’s, drives and related components Inspect and test electrical system circuits and equipment using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and meggers to ensure compliance with local and state codes Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, conduit, equipment and fixtures such as panel sizing, wire sizes, conduit sizes, and feeder circuits for equipment Assist and direct mechanics with diagnosing problems associated with electrical and mechanical failures on equipment throughout the plant Ensure 100% compliance with all safety policies and procedures Ensure all equipment is functioning at optimum levels by performing short-term repairs and long-term improvements as specified on work orders and preventative maintenance schedulesPerformance Expectations (if applicable):
Lifting is required, a weight of 25 pounds 6 times per shift. Reaching is required approximately 75 times per shift. Stooping is required approximately 25 times per shift for 2 minute intervals. Bending is required approximately 25 times per shift for 2 minute intervals.Experience/Education Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Industrial Electronics or 3-5 years industrial electronics experience Ability to read electrical schematic and drawings, IEC or NEMA Thorough understanding of utility equipment such as air compressors, cooling towers, chillers, boilers, etc. Must be able to walk, stand, reach, stoop and bend throughout entire shift Ability to work in elevated areas Fluent in English Computer proficiencyOther Requirements:
Must be able to work extended hours/overtime with short notice, and be “on call” when needed. Perform any other duties as assigned. All accidents must be reported immediately.
