**Job Title: Electronics Technician**
**Job Description**
Responsible for troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electronic equipment. Develop prototypes and breadboard circuits, retrofit existing equipment, and perform routine maintenance utilizing test sets.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot and run diagnostics to evaluate and repair electronic equipment, including variable frequency drives, PLCs, temperature controllers, and timers.
+ Design and build control systems to upgrade production and facility equipment, improving lifespan and functionality.
+ Perform routine maintenance on electronic equipment using test sets such as ultrasound, infrared, megger, oscilloscopes, VDM, and ammeter.
+ Adjust, calibrate, and repair electronic components and record effects on unit performance using methods such as soldering and operating small hand tools.
+ Use basic power tools to fabricate new or converted equipment and machinery.
+ Perform complex electrical, mechanical, and optical assembly, modification, and repair operations on subassemblies and line replaceable units.
+ Install and evaluate new equipment, applications, and components to ensure system performance under actual operating conditions.
+ Request parts or components for repairs and communicate any delays if parts are unavailable.
+ Design and upgrade outdated equipment to increase functionality and productivity.
+ Develop prototypes and breadboard circuits to modify existing equipment and improve operation or functionality.
+ Research products and parts using computers and libraries to obtain information on general repair or equipment functionality.
+ Write technical reports and develop charts, graphs, and schematics to describe system operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations.
+ Attend meetings and perform other duties as required.
+ Comply with safety rules and guidelines, including preventing slips, trips, and falls, maintaining good housekeeping, using safe lifting techniques, and reporting equipment hazards.
**Essential Skills**
+ Knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP.
+ Working knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and circuits.
+ Knowledge of modern test tools and equipment.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to read electronic wiring diagrams and schematics.
+ Ability to use hand tools for troubleshooting and repair.
+ Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
+ Ability to perform with superior service, reflecting a positive company image while sustaining a positive attitude.
+ Ability to adhere to the highest standards of quality while continually performing at the highest possible level.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Electronics certification.
+ 2-3+ years of HMI/PLC troubleshooting programs, software, hardware, and I/O for Siemens or Beckhoff machines strongly preferred.
+ Skilled in troubleshooting machine maintenance issues effectively.
+ Proficient with pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
+ Able to read and interpret electrical prints and mechanical drawings.
+ Servo and VFD drive experience required.
+ Robot (Fanuc) experience preferred.
