Electronics Technician
Job Title: Electronics Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our team and contribute to the building of wire harnesses for a brand new product. The ideal candidate will help develop better Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new products and collaborate with the development team to identify areas of process improvement. The role involves manual data documentation and following technical instructions for wire processing, cutting, soldering, and crimping/stripping wire.

ResponsibilitiesAssemble wire harnesses according to technical specifications, connecting wires, cables, and connectors to create functional harnesses.Inspect completed wire harnesses for quality, ensuring proper connections, secure crimps, and adherence to safety standards.Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including part numbers, quantities, and any deviations from standard procedures.Work closely with other team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain a smooth workflow.Collaborate with the development team to help create more efficient wire harnesses and improve processes.Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.Construct components, subunits, or simple models or adapt standard equipment.Follow specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package devices and subunits of equipment.Conduct various tests or experiments which may require modifications in test setups or procedures, and record test data.Extract and compile a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc., identifying errors or inconsistencies.Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials.Develop information concerning previous operational failures and modifications.Perform assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selecting or adapting standard procedures or equipment.Essential SkillsExperience building wire harnessesWire processing, cutting, soldering, crimping/stripping wireReading schematicsSoldering experienceExperience using a multi-meterAdditional Skills & QualificationsPrevious avionics or military experience (electronics technicians)Understanding of NEC or ESDRadio frequency experienceWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in a climate-controlled, very clean facility. The team consists of 10 technicians, 1 manager, and 1 supervisor. The work hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. Flexibility is provided to allow employees to come in early and leave early or come in later and leave late, as long as they complete their 8-hour workday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanahan, South Carolina

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00
