Job Title: Electronics Technician

Job Description

The Wiring/Electronic Technician will modify, repair, test, and improve existing electronic products, equipment, and controls and will assist in developing new or updated electronic systems, components, or products. This person will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing products that have been returned by customers. The company designs and manufactures air purification systems for commercial and industrial-grade applications. Must be able to interpret wiring diagrams to wire low voltage units.

ResponsibilitiesRepair, install, and inspect electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications.Maintain and make necessary operating adjustments to the organization’s electronic systems.Determine material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; take appropriate action to meet those needs and make repairs.Ensure local, state, and national electrical codes or certifying laboratory standards are followed and proper materials are used throughout electrical systems.Manage and install cables and wiring, splicing as needed.Create or adapt parts as needed to make repairs and improve the performance of various electronics.Perform safety checks to ensure design plans are feasible in various conditions.Report potentially dangerous electrical equipment to the supervisor and take steps to resolve the issue.Instruct employees regarding safe working procedures and requirements when working with electronic equipment and components.Develop and maintain records related to electronic and electrical equipment.Perform other related duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProficiency in hand soldering - surface mount soldering.Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Detail-oriented and organized.Excellent problem-solving ability.Ability to follow highly complex directions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with NetSuite is a plus.Teamwork.Ability to anticipate needs.Flexibility.Electronic Technician certification or comparable certification or licensure required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is quiet and conducive to focused work. The position follows a 1st shift schedule (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) with a break from 10:00 to 10:30 AM and lunch from 12:00 to 12:30 PM. The work week is a standard 40 hours.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
