Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Wire Harness Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building wire harnesses for new products, developing and improving standard operating procedures, and collaborating with the development team to enhance processes. This role involves manual data documentation, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.

ResponsibilitiesAssemble wire harnesses according to technical specifications, including connecting wires, cables, and connectors.Inspect completed wire harnesses for quality, ensuring proper connections and secure crimps.Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including part numbers, quantities, and deviations from standard procedures.Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain workflow.Follow technical instructions for wire processing, cutting, soldering, and crimping/stripping wire.Maintain an inventory of various parts and tools used in the assembling process.Construct components, subunits, or simple models and adapt standard equipment.Follow specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package devices and subunits of equipment.Conduct various tests or experiments, requiring modifications in test setups or procedures.Select, set up, and operate standard test equipment, and record test data.Extract and compile a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, and lab reports.Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials.Develop information concerning previous operational failures and modifications.Perform assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed.Receive initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisors or engineers as needed.Essential SkillsExperience building wire harnesses.Proficiency in wire processing, cutting, soldering, crimping/stripping wire.Ability to read schematics.Experience with soldering and using a multi-meter.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious avionics or military experience as an electronics technician.Understanding of NEC or ESD.Experience with radio frequency is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will work in a climate-controlled, very clean facility with a small team of 10 technicians, 1 manager, and 1 supervisor. The hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break and occasional overtime. You will report to two production managers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanahan, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00
