Electronics Technician
Job Title: Medical Imaging Device Technician

Job Description

This role is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and calibrating various medical imaging devices such as X-rays, ultrasounds, and radiology equipment.

ResponsibilitiesRepair, calibrate, and maintain equipment.Ensure equipment functions properly and safely.Reflow high-level ICs.Utilize soldering skills.Modify or develop instruments or devices for testing part function.Read test schedules, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedures and equipment to be used.Calibrate test instruments according to specifications.Connect units to be tested to test equipment (test bed) and run diagnostics.Read displays indicating electronic characteristics such as voltage, frequency, distortion, induction, and capacitance.Diagnose system failures and perform repairs.Troubleshoot and repair PCB and power supply failures.Test ultrasound parts using diagnostic utilities.Perform board-level system repairs.Evaluate PCB, power supply, and system performance.Perform Quality Assurance (QA) on repaired PCBs, power supplies, and systems.Replace defective components including SMD.Specify consumable component parts needed for repair.Define and document repair processes.Document all testing and repair activities.Open, add time and materials, and close work orders.Essential Skills3+ years of Electronics Technician experience.Experience troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis of PCBs, electrical circuitry, and component-level repairs.Proficiency using test tools such as oscilloscopes, volt meters, digital analyzers, and signal generators.Experience and proficiency with soldering circuit board components, repair, electronics, and schematic analysis.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the medical device field is nice to have.Experience with mobile equipment repair is nice to have.Work Environment

You will work in a test lab most of the time, hands-on with equipment and electrical test tools. The facility is growing, bringing in a whole product line from California and investing in state-of-the-art equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
