**Description** **SAIC** is currently seeking an **Electronics Technician** in **Middletown, RI.** This candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team of electrical & mechanical engineers, and other technicians to support the Fabrication and testing of systems built in facility to support advanced Naval Test Facility’s. **Job Duties:** + Fabrication of test fixtures through the use of light metalworking under supervision. + Shadowing a senior technician while they perform assembly tasks in order to learn the Fabrication/assembly techniques to adhere to manufacturing standards. + Assemble or install equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or termination. + May create, build, assemble, modify and/or repair prototypes, cables, and fixtures. + Route, terminate and dress wire harness neatly. + Assist with troubleshooting system issues. + Assist with system calibrations for all sensor types (pressure transducers, flow meters, thermal couples, accelerometers). + Assists with facility setup and teardown for multiple testing operations. **Qualifications** **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Must have the ability to obtain SECRET level clearance. + Experience with some of the following: + Comfortable working with basic electrical and mechanical tools. + Familiarity with basic electrical equipment such as voltmeters or soldering irons. + Must be able to work in a team environment while completing tasks in an unsupervised and self-directed fashion. + Basic knowledge in reading electrical schematics.
