**Job Title: Electronics Technician** **Job Description** As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for repairing electronic drives, controllers, and PC boards. You will troubleshoot and test electronic components at the board level, using various methods and testing equipment. You will follow company procedures for requisitioning parts, repair, and/or replace electronic components, and verify repairs using start-up testing procedures. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot and test electronic components to board level using various methods and testing equipment. + Follow company procedures for requisitioning parts. + Repair and/or replace electronic components to board level, including diodes, transistors, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and other printed circuit components. + Verify repairs using start-up testing procedures. + Operate specialized equipment, including oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, high voltage insulation testers, AC/DC volt-ohm-milliammeters, clamp-on ammeters, various test panels, soldering equipment, infrared scanning equipment, and various kinds of hand-held power and non-power tools. + Document all test procedures and add them to the company's library. + Complete all paperwork and service reports on repaired jobs. + Keep the work area neat and clean as directed by the supervisor. + Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 1+ year experience with soldering/desoldering electrical equipment. + 2+ years experience with troubleshooting and testing PC boards. + Knowledge of Ohm's Law. + 1+ years experience with electrical testing equipment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with assembly and disassembly. + Familiarity with and ability to utilize different types of test equipment such as function generators, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies. + Ability to recognize different electronic components and their functions. + Thorough understanding of electronic circuitry. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a large break area equipped with vending machines. The work environment includes mechanical parts and motors, resembling a shop type environment. The electronics area is clean, organized, and temperature-controlled. The position is on the 1st shift (7:30am-4pm) with the possibility of up to 5 hours of overtime per week, including potential Saturdays. Attire includes steel toes and basic hand tools, with company-provided shirts and pants once permanent. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batavia, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
