Who We Are The Texas A&M University Cyclotron Institute, a Department of Energy University Facility, is jointly supported by DOE and the State of Texas and is a major technical and educational resource for the state and the nation. What You Need to Know Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience. Required Education and Experience: + High School Diploma or any equivalent combination of education and experience + Four years of related experience as an electronics technician Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Knowledge of test equipment, spectrum analyzers, digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, radio test equipment, meters, signal generators, amp meters, voltmeters, and other digital instruments Preferred Education and Experience: + Associates Degree/vocational school Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Ability to operate forklift, overhead crane ad operate and repair electrical switch gear + Ability to repair power supply Responsibilities: + Electronic Circuitry Repair: Troubleshoots and repairs electronic circuits using necessary equipment. + Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Repair: Repairs mechanical and electrical equipment as required. + Preventative Maintenance: Performs preventative maintenance and instructs students on the accurate use of equipment. + Design and Fabricate: Helps design and fabricate electronic equipment. + Documents Repair and Design: Document, repair and design electronics systems using AutoCAD and/or pCad as required. + Procedure Establishment: Establishes and oversees standard operating procedures. + Research Task: Performs research tasks and performs other duties as assigned.
