The Electronics Technician II applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals, or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequences, selecting tools, and testing equipment. This technician receives technical guidance, as required from a supervisor or higher-level technician, and is reviewed for compliance with technical guidance and accepted practices. Technicians may also provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians. This Aircraft Electronics Technician II maintains repairs, troubleshoots, modifies, and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids); personal and mainframe computers and terminals. The successful candidate applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. This Technician reads and interprets USAF technical orders, service bulletins, engineering data, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and best method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning systems.

Basic Qualifications:

This work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, selecting tools, and testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.

Technicians must be proficient with using USAF Technical Orders, operating the Data Transfer and Diagnostic System (DTADS), documenting AFTO 781 forms, and entering data into the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS).

Should possess experience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses or a variety of electrical components, and equipment associated with aircraft systems functionality.

This candidate must also have knowledge of HAXMAT/HAZWASTE, corrosion control, inspection/repair, maintenance inspection, aircraft launch and recovery, aircraft servicing, towing, and jack/shoring of aircraft.

Desired Skills:

Six (6) years of experience on C-130 aircraft.

Experience inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft avionics and electrical systems (GAC, Com/Nav, ECM, Electrician, or USMC 6316/6336 backgrounds).

Previously performed as 7-Level or CDI Equivalent, Electronic/Avionics Systems Technician with Three (3) years of C-130J flight line aircraft experience. C130J Electronic Countermeasure experience is a plus.

Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
