Electronics Test Technician

A client is looking for a PCB Test Technician in the Southfield, MI area. This technician would be joining a group focused on the testing and validation activities of Body Electronics through the product development cycle. These Body Electronics are being supplied to the Automotive Industry and integrated into upcoming vehicle programs. The technician would be responsible for soldering Hardware PCBs for product assembly to be delivered to the software team, setting up and executing tests, and reporting test data. Testing activities will vary depending on where in the product development lifecycle the product is and what validation criteria needs to be met for the PCBs performance, functionality, and reliability under differing conditions. Examples are environmental chamber testing, data logging / monitoring, and taking circuit or voltage measurements. This technician will work with the Hardware Engineers daily and should be good with prioritizing tasks of varying priority and timelines. This technician will need to be familiar with reading and interpreting electronic schematics, be comfortable with using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and soldering tools for the PCB assembly, and will be responsible for keeping inventory of test equipment in the lab to ensure all the necessary tools are available to execute testing activities.
