Job Description
The Engineering Technician will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for understanding the functional attributes of the finished product to troubleshoot, repair, or support the process within the company.
ResponsibilitiesEvaluate complex electromechanical/electro-optical assemblies to the component level for documenting rework/repair instructions.Perform root cause failure analysis on defective products returned by customers.Operate specialized test equipment used during product evaluation.Load firmware using various programming tools.Other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience in Electronics, Electrical, Engineering, and Mechanical fields.Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.Soldering skills using common hand-held tools.Experience with standard electronic laboratory test equipment such as DMM, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and network analyzer.Proficiency in using test equipment for assembly, wiring, electronics testing, and PCB repair.Ability to operate a multimeter and interpret blueprints.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology or relevant industry experience.Computer knowledge using a PC-based workstation.Familiarity with CAD Viewer tools.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Microsoft Windows OS environment.Effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms.Work Environment
The role involves working with specialized test equipment and standard electronic laboratory tools in a collaborative and supportive environment. The position requires handling electromechanical and electro-optical assemblies, using firmware programming tools, and performing root cause failure analysis. The work environment is dynamic and requires attention to detail and the ability to work on various tasks as assigned. The dress code is casual.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42000.00 - $59000.00/yr.
