Find your future with us. **Position Overview:** Boeing is seeking Engineer/Scientist to join our multi-disciplined engineering team in Albuquerque, NM designing and developing advanced concepts for the DoD. This position will join our mod/sim team responsible for wave optics modeling, error budgets, radiometry, trade studies, and other mod/sim/analysis efforts to support requirements definition and system performance modeling. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated work experience with optical systems mod/sim/analysis. The position will work with the SEIT team, providing data to be used for validating performance. **Position Responsibilities:** + Develops and validates models and simulations of optical systems. + Works with engineering teams to collect and analyze data used to anchor models. + Uses models and simulations to develop system requirements. + Performs complicated trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements. + Defines and conducts critical analyses of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements. **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** + Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. + Active Top Secret Security Clearance. + 3+ years of experience with image processing. + 3+ years of experience with wave optics models OR error budgets. + 3+ years of experience with MATLAB OR Mathematica. **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + 5+ years of experience modeling and simulating optical systems **Drug Free Workplace** : Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
