Responsibilities
Job Summary
This job is primarily responsible for providing clinical and technological assistance to an Electrophysiologist (MD) in performing complex invasive electrophysiology studies/procedures. An incumbent assists the physician with all procedures in the EP lab, including implanted devices and arrhythmia ablations; assists the physician during diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology procedures and device implants. An incumbent provides patient care to all electrophysiology patients, including acquisition and reduction of all pertinent information related to their procedure.

Education/Work Experience Requirements
Associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field or successful completion of a Radiological Technologist program, and one year of related cardiovascular technology work experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities.Licensure/Certification
Current licensure as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CVIS) through the Washington State Department of Health AND current Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (RCIS) as issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI);ORCurrent licensure as a Radiologic Technologist through the Washington State Department of Health AND current Radiography certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).If classified as Electrophysiology Specialist-Cert: Requires Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification.
