AnthroMed Education is a growing group of Speech-Language Pathologists who support students in schools to provide high-quality speech services. Our SLPs work in nearby public schools where they can thrive and deliver positive outcomes for their students. We are currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist who will support elementary students at one of our partner schools in the Westland, MI area. You will provide direct services and evaluations for students in grades K-5. This is a full time position for the 2024-2025 school year.
Responsibilities:Evaluate student’s speech-language abilities to prepare and conduct treatment plansProvide high-quality direct speech-language therapy services to students according to the students’ IEPsConduct assessments, translate, and analyze assessment results, and develop reports to determine strengths and concerns in areas of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skillsUse professional literature, evidence-based research, and continuing education to make practice decisionsCreate a learning environment characterized by effective and efficient process management strategies (procedures, instructional groups, transition materials)Participate in IEP conferences, team meetings, and problem-solving meetingsDevelop treatment plans, in conjunction with instructional staff, that are strength-based, as well as child and family-centered for overall educational improvementEnsure evaluations, intervention plans, and service delivery are aligned with school, state, and federal guidelinesAssist and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language delays/disordersOther duties as assigned
Requirements:Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication DisordersValid MI SLP licenseClinical Fellows are welcome to apply!
