Job Summary:


The Eligibility Coordinator performs a variety of office coordination, customer service, and data collection and entry for the Ryan White Grants program. Responsibilities also include performing program intake for renewing clients and client follow up.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Registers clients in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and in the stand alone CareWare system.Obtains and/or verifies all relevant client demographic and insurance information to determine eligibility for the Ryan White program.Completes applications, as well as semiannual and annual certifications, to ensure no lapse in eligibility or loss of benefits occurs.Presents clients with appropriate paperwork based upon Ryan White standards for eligibility.Communicates with physician offices and their staff. Initiates, monitors, and responds to tasks through the EHR and Patient Portal.Reviews client accounts for outstanding balances. Schedules various services for clients as required for client care. (i.e. interpreter services, transportation, etc.)Collects and records required data and provides appropriate communication to the governing bodies.Ensures security and accuracy of client charts, and routinely completes chart audits for federal auditing purposes.Monitors the reception area and keeps clients, family members, visitors, and Associates informed of schedule adjustments.Maintains a neat and orderly waiting area.Answers and triage's incoming phone calls and voicemails.Takes and communicates messagesAssists in making reminder calls for upcoming client appointments.Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.Minimum of one year medical office experience required.Knowledge and experience working with the HIV population strongly preferred.Multi-specialty office experience preferred.Experience in a customer service setting required.Experience with Microsoft Office programs preferred.
