Who we Are

Railserve is a leading provider of in-plant rail switching, transloading, and material handling services — operating at over 75 locations in North America. We use our own locomotives and employees to safely move railcars within industrial, manufacturing and production plants. But we're not just rail car movers; we also provide a number of other services which include: rail car loading, rail car unloading, track maintenance, inspection or repair and many others.

The Role:

To perform in this job role, you should have excellent physical fitness. You should be able to operate heavy machinery such as forklift and cranes. Moreover, you should also display strong collaborative skills as well as the ability to work independently. A proven work experience in a similar job role will be beneficial.

Requirements

High school diploma or GEDProven work experience in the Logistics department as a Yard Jockey or a similar roleFamiliarity operating yard vehicles, trailers, and containersUnderstanding of inventory systems and databasesKnowledge of the health and safety guidelinesExcellent physical dexterityGood time management and organizational skillsHaving an eye for detailGood communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyAbility to work for long, flexible hours and on weekendsHighly motivated and hardworking individualStrong multitasking abilities
