This position reports to

Internal Projects Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Performs wiring activities on electrical panels for equipmentReads schematics, connection diagrams, or similar documentation and wires to those drawingsUses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasksMaintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistenciesMaintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when neededInventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are neededPeriodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any dentified problems and alerts supervisorPerforms other related duties as assigned

Qualifications for the role

High school diploma or equivalent requiredKnowledge and use of tools – tape measure, screwdriver, battery operated tools, etc.Knowledge of hardware arrangements – nuts, bolts, screws, etc.Knowledge of 5S – sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustainKnowledge and use of necessary PPEAbility to read and interpret engineering job spec sheet, connection diagrams, bill of materials, and standard assembly drawingsAbility to use crane or other lifting devices, as neededAbility to use and work with hand toolsAbility to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as neededAbility to lift, push and pull up to 40lbsAbility to speak, read, and write the English LanguageAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple or basic instructionsBasic computer skills to be able to look up parts based on bill of materialsBasic mathematical skillsBasic communication skillsHand, eye coordination skills and use of both handsMinimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience involving:Reading and wiring from electrical schematicsReading and building equipment using assembly drawingsUnderstanding bill of materialsAbility to identify parts from drawingsMinimum of 3 years of prior experience working in manufacturing or field services working on electrical distribution equipment including: Switchgear (480 V to 27kV), Switchboards or Panelboards, Motor control centers, Transformers, Load interrupter switches, Busway5+ years of prior experience working in manufacturing or field services working on electrical distribution equipment including:Switchgear (480 V to 27kV), Switchboards or Panelboards, Motor control centers, Transformers, Load interrupter switches, Busway Legal authorization to work in the US is required
