Quality Control Specialist
Your role and responsibilitiesUnderstand and be accountable for manufacturing metrics that pertain to the group (HSE, Quality, Service and Costout)Drive efforts to support and meet production schedules, including productivity, quality and lean manufacturing initiatives Take responsibility for continuous improvement of production operations including safety, scheduling, quality, lean and training/development in assigned areas Develop and maintain Quality Management System documents such as manufacturing methods, technical documentation, and training documentation Practice analytical problem solving incorporating use of strong math skills Utilize strong communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills Acquire knowledge of plant and business quality IT systems as neededDemonstrate initiative to learn and seek improvement opportunities with minimal direction Support and maintain quality records in regards to supplier cases, customer cases, internal nonconformance reports, and internal audits.Perform evaluations on internal/external issues and compiling corresponding technical reports.
Qualifications for the roleAssociate Degree in a technical or engineering disclipline from an accredited university or college Degree has a focus in mechanical or manufacturing systems OR 2 years experience with inspections/evaluations.Minimum 1 year quality control experienceKnowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsProfecieny in measurement tools (meters, calipers, gauges, etc.)Demonstrate understanding of quality procedures and concepts Demonstrated lean manufacturing participationDemonstrated HSE participation and support.Must have the flexibility to rotate and flex to any area of production, as needed.Must be committed to team success and embrace continuous improvement.Possess a strong desire to grow and learn new manufacturing processesCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the U
