Job Responsibilities:

Performs all embalming activities correctly and respectfullyCares for the deceased in a respectful manner while performing a variety of tasks which include:  verifying identification and embalming authorization, performing restoration, completing removals and transfers, dressing, hairstyling, cosmetic application, and any other preparation as may be required.Adheres to all company policies and proceduresAdheres to all professional, municipal, provincial and federal licensing requirementsAssists with the maintenance and cleanliness of the preparation room and facility.Cleans soiled equipment and hazardous material spills and ensures all hazardous material spills are handled in accordance with Material Safety Data SheetsAssists with chemical and supply inventoryReceives caskets and other funeral home suppliesPromotes a safe work environment by being aware and practicing Universal Precautions and adopting general principals of safe conduct.
