Job Description:

Parsons is seeking Embedded Engineers with experience in C/C++ and Linux systems to join our team of exceptional individuals. Qualified engineers will be required to participate in an Agile Scrum development life cycle including design, peer review, test support, and documentation of software. Successful candidates must be flexible, self-motivated, hardworking, and capable of operating in a quick-reaction development environment to solve complex problems.

What You'll Be Doing:      

Working through the entire software development life cycle including technical requirements, architecture/design, development, testing, and deploymentDeveloping embedded software on a Linux platformResearch, test, build, and coordinate the integration of new products per production and client requirementsTroubleshoot technical issues arising within the operational (production) environment and track/update progress Ability to work in a cooperative team environmentAbility to adapt rapidly to changing requirements and schedules

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

 Must have a Bachelor of Science in engineering, scientific, technical discipline, or comparable work experienceMust have active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and amenable for poly upgradeProficient working in a Linux command line environmentLinux inter-process communication and kernel module software developmentMultithreaded and real-time programming techniquesKnowledge of Linux, VxWorks, or other embedded systems internalsExperience analyzing performance issues and implementing efficiency improvementsAbility to communicate effectively with technical team members, managers, and customersWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:Knowledge of TCP/IP and socket programmingExperience with virtualization technologies (VMWare, Xen, OpenStack, VirtualBox)Experience with development of client/server architectures in C/C++/AssemblyExperience with RVTM, FAT, Acceptance Testing, and other formal testing procedures

Salary Range: 

$83,300.00 - $210,600.00
