Job Description
We are seeking a talented Embedded Engineer to join our small, dynamic software team. You will be responsible for developing next-generation Linux-based embedded software and microservices architecture for farming equipment control ECUs and displays. You will design, develop, and test embedded software in C++ running on Linux, gather system-level requirements, and write various software specifications and validation documents. This role involves participating in peer source code and design reviews and following an Agile Scrum development process.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop next-generation Linux-based embedded software and microservices architecture for farming equipment control ECUs and displays.Design, develop, and test embedded software in C++ running on Linux.Gather system-level requirements to determine software requirements and make design decisions.Write software design specifications, software interface specifications, and software verification and validation documents.Participate in peer source code and design reviews.Follow an Agile Scrum development process.Essential SkillsBS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.At least 3 years of experience with the full SDLC using the C++ programming language (at least version 14).Experience with Linux-based embedded software.Knowledge of Linux kernel layer, Microservices, and API development.Experience writing software that uses CAN Bus and Ethernet communication.Ability to create supporting documentation such as design documents, architecture diagrams, test procedures, and reports.Experience with common embedded debugging tools.Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to professionally support periodic communication to management and technical teams.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the off-highway heavy machinery, automotive, or industrial control industry.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Work Environment
The ideal candidate would be located near Cary Center or Troy Center to help with supervision and redeployment. Remote work may be considered for highly successful candidates.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00
