Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you! 

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Embedded Hardware/Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic team in Belgium. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems development, with a focus on designing and implementing hardware and firmware solutions for embedded applications. You will play a key role in developing innovative solutions that drive product functionality and enhance performance.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize embedded hardware and firmware for various applications, ensuring high performance and reliability. Conduct hardware and firmware simulations and testing to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product managers, to implement hardware and firmware solutions that meet project requirements. Lead debugging and troubleshooting initiatives to address hardware and firmware-related issues and ensure timely resolution. Monitor hardware and firmware performance metrics and analyze data to track progress and identify trends for continuous improvement. Prepare and present technical reports on hardware and firmware performance, improvements, and compliance status to management. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure innovative solutions are applied. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in embedded hardware and firmware development or a similar role. Strong knowledge of embedded programming languages (C/C++, Python) and real-time operating systems. Proficiency in English is mandatory; fluency in Dutch or French is appreciated. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
