Job Title: Embedded Software DeveloperJob Description Develop embedded software for HVAC projects, including thermostats, chillers, condensers, and more. Support current and upcoming projects focused on commercial HVAC and refrigeration for businesses such as large retail stores and warehouses. Work on controls, control algorithms, and various boards to enhance and maintain system performance. Responsibilities + Develop and maintain embedded software for HVAC systems and commercial refrigeration units. + Create and optimize control algorithms for HVAC projects. + Work with a variety of control boards and develop software that enables communication between these boards and compressors. + Utilize Modbus protocol to facilitate communication between control boards and compressors. + Integrate new control boards and ensure software compatibility and functionality on these boards. + Collaborate with the development team to meet project deadlines and objectives. Essential Skills + Minimum of 8 years of experience in embedded software development. + Proficiency in programming language C. + Experience with Modbus or similar communication protocols. + Strong understanding of firmware development and embedded programming. + Ability to work closely with hardware to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in developing software for HVAC systems. + Familiarity with commercial refrigeration units. + Ability to work effectively within a team environment. Work Environment This position is located on-site in Carrollton, TX, requiring attendance 5 days per week as a contractor. After a period, the schedule will switch to 4 days a week.
