As our Embedded Software Development Engineer, you will be supporting projects in multiple industries. These can include automotive, manufacturing , hydrology, energy technology and oil & gas. You will play an integral part, ensuring products are the leading edge of technology for our customers.
 

As an Embedded Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for:
 

Developing software systems, both bare metal and with an RTOS (Micrium, Linux) to deliver quality products.Investigating problems, debugging to create solutions for usersLeveraging expertise to resolve technical issues during the manufacturing process to prevent creep time.Providing legacy product support, resolving issues, adding enhancements and verification to provide high levels of customer service.Remaining current with new technologies, trends and methodologies to bring creative ideas and continuous improvement to processHaving continuous integration & understating Hardware-in-the-loop TestingUnderstanding higher-level languages, object-oriented methodologies, user-interface implementation, and PC application programming.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have 3 – 5 years of experience in firmware development.Have an Engineering Degree from an accredited university.Have C++ programming experience and proven system implementation experience.Have Python programming experience for testing
Have C# programming experience will be an advantageHave experience writing code for Embedded Linux will be an advantage.Have an understanding of technology based on microprocessors, including the most recent CPUs.Collaborate with global engineering teams to promote consistency and maximize synergies across common software platforms.Have the ability to work independently on assigned tasks and with others to ensure the rapid and co-ordinated development of new products
