Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Electro-Optical Software Development Team. This role involves leading technical activities for infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles, and airborne platforms. The successful candidate will develop embedded software and PC tools, ensure hardware compatibility, and interact with users to define system requirements. Documentation, maintenance procedures, and regular reporting of progress are also key responsibilities. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently as well as under supervision, providing technical expertise and support to the team.

Hard SkillsReal-time embedded software experience (5-10 years)Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldExperience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Linux, and bare-metal implementationEmbedded device drivers experience (TCP/IP, UART, I2C, PCIe), preferably on Linux or VXworksMulti-threading/multi-processing concepts and implementationsDevelopment experience in C or C++ (3 years)Active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearanceSoft SkillsAbility to work independently and under supervisionEffective communication skills, both written and oralCommitment to meeting deadlines and technical requirementsAbility to support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organizationWork Environment

The position is hybrid and offers a 9/80 work schedule.
