Job Description
In this role, the embedded software engineer will be designing, developing, and testing software for embedded systems. This will include enhancing existing products and also working on new products.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, code, test, and debug new software or complex enhancements to existing embedded software.Work directly with hardware development teams to bring up new processor boards.Collaborate with both hardware and software technical staff to understand and develop solutions for software and/or hardware problems.Resolve customer complaints and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements.Essential SkillsExperience with Embedded LinuxFamiliarity with test equipment and lab environmentsInterest in FPGA technologyProficiency in C Language development5-7 years of experience in a similar roleAdditional Skills & QualificationsDegree in Computer Science/Engineering, Software EngineeringKnowledge of software data structures and programming methodology, computer architecture, and operating systems/systems programmingStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with MS OfficeFamiliarity with industry guidelines and standards for engineering processesWork Environment
Monday and Friday remote work; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite in Newtown, PA. The work focuses on flight test instrumentation, including recorders designed to work with acquisition products and various types of sensors. The work environment involves both commercial and military data recording applications, as well as new areas like battery-powered air vehicles.
