Job Description

Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines overall system and user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, document, test, and debug software and systems.Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers.Plan, design, develop, and utilize electronic data processing systems.Determine overall system and user needs.Analyze system capabilities to resolve program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.Prepare operating instructions.Design and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.Ensure software standards are met.Provide technical leadership for junior team members.Essential SkillsProficient in C/C++ language.Experience developing embedded software.Experience designing, developing, integrating, verifying, and qualifying real-time embedded software.Experience with software and systems engineering.Experience leading and managing a technical team.Active DoD Secret Clearance.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree.Experience with low-level development.Experience with VxWorks and RTOS.Experience with Linux and embedded Linux.Knowledge of Agile processes.Experience with Command and Telemetry.Familiarity with Atlassian Suite (Jira, BitBucket, etc).Experience with SIMICS.Work Environment

Supporting ESS and other related programs. The role involves working in a process-oriented environment utilizing waterfall, spiral, or agile processes. You will be part of a large team with talented engineers from various disciplines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $100.00
