Software Engineer - Rochester, NY - Onsite
We are actively hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to join The Tactical Communications Software Engineering group supporting various DOD/aerospace projects. This role involves working on modern tactical military radios for the DoD and Allied markets, supporting both single and multi-channel radios with various waveforms, including legacy narrowband and modern mobile ad-hoc networking waveforms. The focus will be on the audio subsystem, requiring expertise in real-time programming, VOCODERs, and VoIP.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in an Agile Scrum team developing software for advanced tactical radio equipment.Research, design, and develop embedded software for software-defined radio products, including real-time and near real-time controls.Develop and conduct software system testing, programming, and documentation.Provide technical support to internal and external customers, including factory software introduction and resolving manufacturing issues.Execute the software development process in a CMMI Level 3 environment.Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.MUST be eligible to obtain a DOD Security Clearance. Active Secret is a plus.4+ years of professional C/C++ programming for embedded software in a Linux and/or RTOS environmentAgile environment experienceExperience debugging audio hardware setups including speaker, microphone, and common audio processing pipelines.Experience providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00
